A joint project of the National Physicians Alliance, the American Medical Student Association, Community Catalyst, and the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Partnership to Advance Conflict-free Medical Education has worked to create both external and internal pressure for medical schools and academic medical centers to adopt strong new conflict-of-interest policies. Together, we have:
• expanded and promoted the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) Scorecard;
• provided medical schools and academic medical centers with technical assistance and tools to guide the development of new institutional policies and helped institutional leaders effectively evaluate the success and impact of their policies;
• created a national network of physicians and physicians-in-training who provide leadership within the profession in support of conflict-free medical education; and
• developed and disseminated new and existing resources, standards, curricula, and best practices for academic medical centers nationwide to promote reform efforts and tools.

AMSA members are medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and practicing physicians. Community Catalyst’s first priority is quality affordable health care for all. Since 1997, we have provided leadership and support to state and local consumer organizations, policymakers, and foundations working to change the health care system so it serves everyone – especially vulnerable members of society. Community Catalyst is a national non-profit advocacy organization working to build the consumer and community leadership that is required to transform the American health system. We believe that this transformation will happen when consumers are fully engaged and have an organized voice. Conflict of Interest Policy Guide for Medical Schools and Academic Medical Centers.
