Jennifer McClellan, Virginia State Delegate
Jennifer McClellan was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates from the 71st District in 2005. She serves on the House Commerce & Labor, Courts of Justice, and Education Committees. She is Vice Chair of Outreach for the House Democratic Caucus. Jennifer is a member of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus and the Capital Region Caucus (Co-Chair 2008-2010). She also serves on the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Commission (Vice Chair), the Virginia Center on Aging Advisory Committee, and Governor McDonnell’s Domestic Violence Prevention and Response Advisory Board. Since 2008, she has served as a guest columnist for the Richmond Times Dispatch during the General Assembly Session.
Delegate McClellan serves as the State Director of the National Federation for Women Legislators.
Jennifer is an Assistant General Counsel at Verizon Communications, focusing on state regulatory matters for the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West regions. She is a member of the VSB’s Diversity Conference, Past President of the Virginia State Bar (VSB) Young Lawyers Conference, and Past Chair of the VSB’s Corporate Counsel Section. She is also a member of the Virginia Bar Association (VBA) Pro Bono Task Force (Vice Chair) and Administrative Law Section Council.
Jordan Goldberg, attorney with the Center for Reproductive Rights
Jordan Goldberg is an attorney working with the Center for Reproductive Rights. Over the past five years, Ms. Goldberg’s work has included legal analyses of state legislative proposals affecting women’s reproductive rights, technical assistance to local advocates on state legislative issues, and the development and promotion of pro-active legislative and policy strategies. Prior to joining the Center as a Legal Fellow in 2008, Ms. Goldberg clerked for the Honorable Barry T. Albin, Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Ms. Goldberg has a background in both politics and communications; she held a range of positions on political campaigns in West Virginia, Massachusetts and New York, worked in the New York State Senate, and served as a communications consultant for progressive nonprofit groups working on women’s rights and reproductive rights issues. Ms. Goldberg received her JD magna cum laude from Fordham University School of Law and holds a BFA in Film and Television from New York University, where she also studied Politics.
