Rep. Joe Courtney (D-CT) spoke about the threats to the ACA to a standing-room-only crowd in Norwich, Connecticut, on January 25, at a meeting co-sponsored by the NPA in Connecticut. NPA founding member Steve Smith also spoke to the group about actions that could be taken at the state level to advance health justice. One of the speakers, Kelly Trautner, director of AFT Nurses & Health Professionals, told the attendees of her visits to Congressional offices with representatives of the NPA the week before in Washington. NPA-CT docs huddled together after the meeting to begin planning for follow-up actions to take.
