Thanks to your tireless work, the disastrous Republican health care bill has been abandoned!
Make no mistake, this was a win for our patients and for our country. Your calls, emails, meetings, donations, op-eds, letters to the editor and all-around activism made a huge difference. This is a moment that should be celebrated and a victory to be savored!
However, it is not a time to rest on our laurels. This was the first (and maybe the biggest) battle, but the war is not over. We need to be clear-eyed of what could still lie ahead. That is why the National Physicians Alliance will continue to stand up and speak out for what is best for our patients every day. We will never relent in the march towards health justice and we will continue to be a watchdog over policymakers, administration officials and corporate influences that don’t put patients first when making decisions about health care in America.
In the days and weeks ahead we look forward to discussing proactive reforms that help us improve affordability, achieve greater equity, and move us toward more evidence-based solutions in healthcare.
Thank you for fighting alongside us. We look forward to continuing to be with you as we strive towards a more just, caring and healthier society for all Americans.
Your in Solidarity,
