1) Sign-in & Mingling: first 20-30 minutes

2) Welcome and Introductions
a. Host introductions
b. Guest introductions

3) Show NPA DVD

4) Large Group Discussion about NPA and Major Issues
a. Lead group discussion based on suggested focus group questions
b. Hand out NPA membership/pledge cards and ask people to fill them out while you’re talking (state your fundraising & membership goal and talk about your commitment to building NPA)
c. Collect membership/pledge cards

5) Organizing Brainstorming
a. Distribute written survey to guests and collect them back to send to NPA
b. Discuss how to spread the word about NPA
c. Recruit at least 2-3 guests to host future house parties to reach new people

6) Q&A
a. What motivated you to come to this house party?
b. If you could change one thing about the health care system, what would it be?
c. Why do you think the NPA is needed?
d. How do you think NPA should share power with consumers on policy decisions? (NPA will have a Council of Consumers – how should they influence NPA policy?)
e. What tangible benefits do you want from the NPA?
f. What would you like to be involved with?
g. What other organizations are you involved with?
h. What adjectives should apply to the NPA?

7) Ask for Volunteers & Collect Any Remaining Membership/Pledge Cards
