New York
About: The New York Local Action Network was founded in 2008 by a group of physicians in New York City who wanted to take an active role in advocating for better health care for their patients and their communities. Members of NPA-NY have participated in, and organized, rallies, teach-ins, phone banks, panel discussions, marches, and fundraising events. We have enjoyed working with local and national groups to bring the perspective of doctors to community-based activism.
