The National Physicians Alliance is a multi-specialty medical organization committed to eliminating health disparities and to broadening—not narrowing—access to the full range of essential health care services. The NPA applauds the administration for the new rule that would require insurance companies to offer contraceptive coverage for no additional charge to employees of non-exempted religiously-affiliated organizations.
“The Affordable Care Act’s guarantee of access to comprehensive, preventive health services at no additional cost is a tremendous advance for American women,” says NPA President Dr. Valerie Arkoosh. “These are long overdue protections that will dramatically improve the health and well being of families everywhere. The National Physicians Alliance calls on the administration to robustly enforce its revised rule, which provides health security to millions, regardless of where they work or how much money they have.”
Uniting physicians across medical specialties, the National Physicians Alliance creates research and education programs that promote active engagement of health care providers with their communities to achieve high quality, affordable health care for all. The NPA offers a professional home to physicians who share a commitment to professional integrity and health justice.
