Dr. Fugh-Berman presents on the pharmaceutical industry strategy of exchanging off-label marketing information by “scientifically trained” personnel instead of sales reps as differentiated in the recent $181 million settlement between Johnson & Johnson and the Department of Justice regarding the promotion of the antipsychotic Risperdal.

Mr. Wilkinson presents on opportunities industry settlements present to fund independent prescriber education (academic detailing) as an appropriate remedy for illegal ‘off-label’ drug promotion.
