Tips on timing, watering, feeding, and supports so your potted tomatoes are heavy producers. Also, check out the companion video for transplanting seedlings.
- Usually, start seeds 8-9 weeks before last frost date
- Pots dry out quickly. Water regularly and increase the water as temps rise and your plant grows. Usually 1 gallon per week for young plants and 2-3 gallons per week for mature plants in hot weather.
- Feed regularly with Liquid Tomato Feed. We use Neptune's Harvest. Use a dilute solution at every 3-4th watering.
- Remember to harden off seedlings before placing them in direct sunlight all day.
