If you're interested in Kombucha head on over to my Home Page and check out the Kombucha tab with a drop down menu. There you'll find everything related to the booch.
I have a list of flavor combinations that I update, but once in a while I like to highlight one particular concoction and this is one that I go back to time and time again. An easy Strawberry Mojito made with either fresh or frozen strawberries and either fresh lime juice or frozen LimeAid concentrate that you can find in the frozen section of the grocery store.
If you opt for the simple button - go for a frozen tub of strawberries (either sweetened or not sweetened) and the frozen LimeAid. Add about a 2:1 ratio (strawberry to limeade) and give it a taste. If the strawberries aren't sweetened, add a teaspoon of sugar. Don't forget the mint. Add a few large stems of mint and cap up the bottle.
On the other hand, if you want a more traditional mojito, you'll go for fresh pureed strawberries, fresh squeezed lime juice, some simple syrup and muddled lime leaves. It's so SO good. I still shoot for a 2:1 ratio of strawberry to lime, adding a few teaspoon of simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated to dissolve & stored in a jar in the refrigerator for freshness). To muddle the mint leaves you can whack them with the back of a spoon or use a mortar and pestle if you have it. I go for a hearty handful - muddling part of it and putting the rest in as whole leaves.
Feel free to sub out the strawberries and replace with any other sweet berry, peaches, melon - or keep it pure with lime, mint & simple syrup.
Nothing better on a hot day.
